“Unforseen state event” at the venue Black Star Square – Govt on cancellation of The Convention 2024
The convention 2024 – Igniting the voices of Africa sponsored by New Africa Foundation “NAF” schedule to take place on 7th January 2024 at the venue Kwame Nkrumah independence square coinciding with the Ghana’s inauguration day cancelled by the President Nana Addo – Dankwa Akufo Addo .
In an interview with the Media, ” some high profile personalities from Nigeria, Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, to witness the event, saids the sudden denied is unclear.”
”Some agitates why this event is denied on the due Day schedule for the event.
”the question is, why many events were held at the Black Star Square but the Gov’t didn’t denied that,”I guess .
The New Africa Foundation NAF, saids the convention across -the- board is to unite different facet of Africa,
including Activist, Thought Leaders, Preachers ,Immas and Artists, all before the eclectic audience.
“Deputy Director of the Diaspora Affairs Directorate at the Office of the President, Dr. Nadia Adongo Fynn, in a statement, said the decision was because of an “unforeseen” state event
scheduled to take place at the venue.
“this decisions Under the circumstances, the amount of Ten Thousand Ghana cedis (GHc10, 000.00) paid by your office for the use of the venue will be refunded. We regret any inconvenience this may cause,” Dr. Nadia Fynn added in the statement.
