NDC in Diasporas condemns rivalries of Youth Organiser Contestants

NDC Communicators in Diasporas condemn in no uncertain terms the despicable act of lawlessness caused by some handful of supporters believed to be on the sides of two contesters for the National Youth Organiser.

We are deeply worried about the horrible images that is trending on the social media indicating a fight between two camps on Saturday, 10 December 2022, at our party’s Youth and Women’s Organisers Congress at the University of Cape Coast. As our party Head Office has already issued a statement to condemn this violence, we also support their efforts to allow our National Police to haunt for these handful of guys and bring them to book.

We think it is appalling acts of violence that have been perpetrated during on one of the most important NDC Congress. We believe Ghanaians support our fight to wrestle power from the super-incompetent NPP government who has plunged Ghanaian youths to a state of confusion. In view of this, we will not sit down for a greedy few to tarnish the imagine and good reputation of NDC fraternity.

NDC will not allow hatred and rivalry destroy the confidence Ghanaian people have in our great party. We are aware that the enemies of democracy will be pleased to see these incredible images coming from a tiny group of our supporters.

A collective NDC stands for no division, no rivalries and no enemies. We are one fraternity and we believe that the best candidate wins with ideas that support the party agenda to wrestle power from NPP, but not through bullying or violence means.

We wish to condemn the incident and call the relevant authorities to take swift action on the perpetrators.

On behalf of our great party, we apologize to Ghanaians and our supports for these mishaps. Importantly, it is our prayers this is the last act of violence in our party’s internal elections.

Long live Ghana!
Long live NDC.

Signed.
